Meet Jennie Hardman

MSW, LICSW—Creator of Whole Mother Story

Hi, I’m Jennie - trauma therapist, coach, mother, and the heart behind Whole Mother Story. I created this space out of both personal experience and deep professional calling. 

After walking through my journey of motherhood—its beauty, its heartbreak, and everything in between—I knew I wanted to help other women feel seen, supported, and whole in their own stories. 

Whether you’re navigating the aftermath of birth trauma, loss, identity shifts, or simply carrying more than you expected, you don’t have to do it alone. This work is sacred to me, and it’s my honor to walk alongside you.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (MN #23915) in Minnesota & Wisconsin

  • MN Social Work Board-Approved Supervisor

  • Master’s of Social Work, University of Minnesota Duluth

  • Currently enrolled in 10-month intensive training: Perinatal Crisis and Beyond: A trauma-focused comprehensive for EMDR practitioners

  • Adjunct Faculty, UWRF

  • Specialized Training in Perinatal Mood Disorders, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Sexual Assault Advocacy

  • As well as Prenatal Yoga and Advanced Practice of EMDR for Perinatal & Infant Mental Health

  • EMDR Consultant in Training

Get to Know Me

— Beyond the Credentials —

  • I went to high school in Egypt - my dad got a job teaching at the American University in Cairo, and I spent my junior and senior years of high school living right outside of Cairo, Egypt. My high school graduation was at the Pyramids of Giza. It was an amazing experience!

  • I love any kind of bowl…rice bowl, noodle bowl, salad.

  • The book that made me LOVE reading was The Great Gatsby

  • Right now it’s my Apple Watch. Mostly because it really motivates me to move my body more, and because I don’t have to look at my phone as much to check the time or messages.

  • I am swimming.

  • In 2021 my family went to Kauai, where one of my BFFs was living at the time. We got to stay with my friend and her family, and spent the day on the beach and the nights with my friends eating good food while the kids played outside. Lots of walking, hiking, swimming, great food, and connection with others!
